Installation
To install and play The Pursued properly, you need to install both the items and the character.
Installing the Character: Download ThePursuedCharacter.zip on this page and Kyle's Custom Character Mod and follow the instructions on how to install custom characters on its page.
Installing the Items: Download ThePursued.zip on this page and place it in your mods folder, then delete mods.txt.
Do not mix the two files up! ThePursuedCharacter.zip contains the character's sprites and data. ThePursued.zip contains the items. Both are needed for the character to work! DO NOT UNZIP ThePursued.zip!
The Lore
An infamous thief in the Hegemony Of Man with a sizeable bounty on their head, The Pursued utilizes localized time travel equipment to evade capture. Because of this, they tend to travel light and stick to low-profile areas. However, The Pursued was eventually captured. Using napalm, Hegemony troops set fire to a city block in order to draw them out. The trap worked, and they were forced to watch as hundreds lost their lives to the fires. Soon, The Pursued was thrown into the Gungeon as their punishment.
Equipment
The Pursued starts out with their own custom items, each which focuses on increased evasion and mobility. Along with the items, they also start with increased movement speed and decreased maximum health.
The Phantom Pistol
- 4 Shot clip
- 1.5sec Reload
- 0.20 Rate of fire
- 5 Damage
- C Tier
- Reloading spawns all projectiles from the previous clip in their exact locations and directions.
Temporal Shift
- D tier
- Passive
- Adds a 15% chance to dodge in coming damage
- Dodging gives a brief 30% rate of fire increase
Phase Burst
- C tier
- Active
- On use, slows down time for 6 seconds. While time is slowed down, the player cannot shoot.
Each of The Pursued's items can be found in their respective chest and in shops. They can also be spawned in with the prefix "pursued:"
