You need to upgrade Houston's garage to tier 4 in your safehouse in order to unlock the features of this mod!
Description
This mod lets you choose a custom escape vehicle instead of the default player van. You can select different vehicle types for vans which need to hold loot and for the ones that don't. (Mod Options > Custom Escape Vehicles)
This only works if you are the host!
Make sure to select the (new) vehicle before you enter the briefing screen!

FAQ & Feedback
Why is it still showing the default van?
Spoiler!
Please make sure the following applies:
You have upgraded Houston's garage to tier 4. You have selected an option different from "Default". You are playing a supported mission.
Why is x not added?
Spoiler!
Adding new vehicles is currently not planned but you can add your own (read below).
For everything else: Either because of missing time or because it's too difficult. If you have any suggestions please write them down in the comments.
Is it affecting my performance?
Spoiler!
I've added a lot of measurements to reduce any unnecessary impact on your system. Personally I haven't had any issues while an animation was running as you can see in the preview.
Is it affecting other players?
Spoiler!
Yes, but only to a very minor extent. I've made sure everything looks and feels normal on their end.
Why do I need to upgrade my safehouse?
Spoiler!
This is a big feature and I feel like it shouldn't come without a cost. Instead of unlocking each car individually with some arbitrary challenges I rather wanted it to feel lore friendly by using what's already in the game. On the other hand you only need to unlock it once and gain access to all the vehicles.
I don't like the new look of the garage. Can I disable it?
Spoiler!
Yes. Simply remove the line chill = {match = true},
from the Classes/Config.lua
file.
Can I add my own vehicle?
Spoiler!
Yes. While I will not be making a full tutorial I can tell you which files you need to adjust by mainly copy-pasting existing code (after extracting the unit of course): add.xml
(File Path), main.xml
(Package and Menu), Classes/Config.lua
(Vehicle Database), Loc/EN.txt
