Made on request for Etrigan via discord.
MOTD sends an automatic message in chat to all players who connect to your lobby. This mod is only active if you are the host!
- The message can span multiple lines, in which case each line will be sent as a separate chat message,
- Or else, you can choose for the mod to pick one of the lines at random to send to each player who joins.
Please note when installing that there is no message set by default, so until such time as you set a message yourself, the mod will not send any chat message to players who join your lobbies.
To set an MOTD, you can either:
- Edit the file at `mods/saves/motd.txt` (recommended)
- Install Quick Keyboard Input ( pd2mods.z77.fr/quick_keyboard_input.html ) and use the menu button
This mod supports updates via BeardLib. (BeardLib is not required to use the MOTD mod itself.)

**16 July 2020** v2 (first public release)
- Fixed a bug where the mod was not uploaded to modworkshop
- Fixed saving peers by peer_id; peers will now be identified by id64. Previously, this could result in a rejoining peer being sent the same message if they joined in a different slot (eg. if they were blue/peer slot 2, and rejoined as red/peer slot 3)
- Reformatted "Show MOTD" and "Set MOTD" menu option dialogue
- Fixed a bug where line breaks in a user's MOTD would not be formatted properly after setting manually via Mod Options +QKI until the text file was reloaded
