The AK-101 is the fifth major model of the Kalashnikov rifle, developed in the 1990s by Mikhail Kalashnikov. It is identical in every way to the forth major model, the AK-74M, except that it is chambered in the standardized 5.56x45mm NATO round. Primarily developed for export, its exclusive aftermarket is not quite as large as that of its 5.45 and 7.62 counterparts.
Ingame, the AK-101 acts almost the opposite of the AKM. Rather than prioritizing stopping power, it gives up much of its damage to prioritize accuracy and stability.
Using AK Extras 2, one can expand their modification pool to a much larger level, giving access to essentially every physical part's customization.
