This mod optimizes CPU usage while not changing any visuals.

People with low-end CPUs noticed performance increases for up to +30 FPS. You don't need this mod if you have a good CPU.

This mod makes the game do less calculations per each frame, allowing the game to catch up with everything later, since everything is tied to time and not FPS.

How to configure properly:

1. Enable 'DISPLAY FPS' in 'Options - Mod options - Performance comes first'. You will see your FPS value on your screen (in game, not in menu) and the percentage next to it.
2. Set 'YOUR AVERAGE FPS' setting to the FPS value you normally get most of the time. This will not limit your FPS. The number you set is rounded down.
3. Now play the game, preferably on a heavy map as the host, and monitor the percentage. If the percentage is below 50% most of the time then decrease 'YOUR AVERAGE FPS' setting. If the percentage is over 90% most of the time then increase the setting. Your goal is to find a value that will give you over 50% most of the time. The text is colored green if it's over 50% and red if it's below 50%.
4. When you found a good value, disable 'DISPLAY FPS' and enjoy the game.

When your FPS drops below 'YOUR AVERAGE FPS' setting, the mod starts optimizing more agressively to bump FPS. The percentage tells you how many frames have been above the value of that setting recently (the percentage resets every 25-30 seconds).
