Overkill changed the mechanics when an assault ends some time ago to prevent players from artificially extending fade to an extreme.
The result is often a large amount of cops on high difficulties even during assault pauses and doing objectives degrades more and more to praying that cops don't shoot too much.
This mod offers a proactive alternative to the mechanics that are currently in place by taking earlier versions of the mechanics and enhancing them.
With this mod, the fade phase is ended if the Drama is low and if either a handful of enemies is on the map or no enemies were killed in the last set amount of seconds.
The previous PAYDAY versions (which the mod is based on) allowed two variants to extend the fade phase: Kiting cops and Drama abuse. This mod allows neither.
- To prevent kiting, every set amount of seconds an enemy must be killed.
- To prevent Drama abuse, Drama starts to decay faster if the fade phase takes too long.
I'm looking forward to feedback, especially under which conditions this mod breaks and allows massively extending fade phase.
