So 3 weeks ago, as a response to the flooding of the home page by a new game that got added to the site, I changed the default sorting on the home page to popular (daily), this has been also an experiment to see if we should set it as the default sorting on the home page for good.

About "Bipods That Work"

Note: This mod is Discontinued. Currently (as of 11 Jun 2025) it is still functional, and I'll try to update it if severe issues crop up, but major feature work on it is suspended until further notice.

Bipods That (Actually) Work enables equipping the Lion Bipod attachment on the following five weapons:

Gecko 7.62 Assault Rifle (Galil)
Gewehr Assault Rifle (G3)
JP36 Assault Rifle (G36)
Thanatos Sniper Rifle (Barrett M95)
Lebensauger .308 Sniper Rifle (WA2000)

Recommended Mods

Simple Bipods by Krimzin for improving bipod placement checks and other tweaks. As of Bipods That Work v2.0, these two mods should now be compatible.
Custom Firearm Mechanic for Custom Weapons by Alcat101 for adding bipods to custom weapons.
LMG Steelsights by Iron Predator, dotoo, anonymous, Feelgood, Noep, and KarateF22. Enables using steelsights or scopes when using LMGs or other bipod-deployed weapons. Note: There may be a more up-to-date version available, but this one does work for me. Use whichever version you prefer.
Bipod for G3 by Alcat101. (Cosmetic- unfolds the bipod on the model of the G3)
Bipod for G36 by Alcat101. (Cosmetic- adds an unfolded bipod onto the model of the G36's Long Foregrip)

Known issues:

Incorrect bipod axis point- When in bipod mode, you may notice that you swivel around a point on the gun that is not necessarily where the bipod is. This is a base-game issue, and I probably won't fix this.
Bipod objects will float at the coordinates (0,0,0) when equipped on weapons that don't normally have bipods. I'll fix this with CAP/WeaponLib later.
