This is not to steal anything from ViciousWalrus' thunder, but his decision to release his unfinished work and make a post about him quitting has pushed me to do the same.
This isn't some spontaneous thing, I've been feeling this for some time now. I've lost all interest in developing stuff for Payday 2, not helped by Overkill's somewhat dodgy support for the modding community cough Hashlist cough. I don't have enough time to handle education, projects that I'm passionate about as well as forcing myself to work with Payday 2. I've talked to ViciousWalrus a few times over the past few months about this and we pretty much have the same feeling about continuing to work with Payday 2.
I've put up two of my tool related projects on GitHub.
https://github.com/simon-wh/DieselToolbox
and
https://github.com/simon-wh/DieselEngineFormats
There is a basic description of the purpose of these on the repositories in the Readme. DieselToolbox is the 'next generation of modding tools' that I talked about a while back that I never really got back into working on.
Also, here is the script I was using for dumping information for putting up on the wiki: https://gist.github.com/simon-wh/9fecf1efc5f1fb91c16273de4cd5deb8 Need to create folder 'WikiInfo' in root.
There is probably stuff that I should release now that I've completely forgotten about, so feel free to ask me to release something if you found a screenshot of it or something that I posted.
I'm now primarily working on Project Aurora if you're interested. Luffy will hopefully be working on BeardLib and I've got an update for PD:TH Hud textures that I'll hopefully get out today.
Also, just to clarify. I'm still in the same position within Mod Workshop, I just won't be working with PD2. However, I'm currently taking a break to focus more on my education.

As Matthelzor has already stated, I, and I'm sure the rest of the community, appreciate all the hours, work, help, and mods you guys have put out for this game, and I also think that you guys should be rewarded in some way, but I wish you guys luck and the best in whatever you decide to pursue, be it education, careers, and/or modding! :D
Goddamn it! Well, dang it. Thank you for all the work you did for BeardLib and Beardlib Editor as well and also for all the help! You and Walrus should be rewarded somehow for all the stuff you did for the community.
