WHERE'S THE ******* BANK MANAGER
By ijon and Synert

This is a HUD mod for PAYDAY: The Heist that adds a whole bunch of things to the HUD, mostly in the vein of quality of life improvements. It's compatible with all three hooks for PAYDAY: The Heist, so just choose the one that matches the hook you use, or go with the standalone one if you don't use any of them.

INSTALLATION

Choose the file that suits your needs, then unzip it directly into your PAYDAY: The Heist folder. That's it. You're done.

Uninstallation is covered in the provided README file, and is slightly different for each version. So go look at that.

FEATURES
  • Assault timer. It's not perfect when you aren't the host, and even when you are the host, map scripting can occasionally screw it up (see: No Mercy), but for the most part, it's accurate.
  • Enemy counter. While you can't see the reinforce and regroup phases kick in as a client, you can see when the enemies start and stop spawning, which is almost as good.
  • Drill timers. Tells you when they're jammed as well.
  • Reload timer. Now you'll never put away your GL40 half a second too early.
  • Game timer. See how long the game's been running.
  • Down counter, replacing your heister's name on the health bar. Good for deciding when to use a medbag charge, and if you're using this HUD, you know who the heisters are, so no loss there.
  • Raw HP and armor display. Good for knowing if you can sponge another hit.
  • Statistics. The game already keeps track of everything, but WTFBM shows it to you. Your total kills and special kills are shown below the XP bar, as well as your accuracy both overall and with your current weapon.
  • When aiming at enemies and friends, you can see how much health they have. Whether it's through your crosshair changing colors or through a health bar popping up below it, you can see their health. It's nice.
  • Also, you can change it so that your gun stays by your side when aiming. There isn't any benefit to this; it's pure preference.
  • You can change the color of your health and armor display, as well as add an armor bar to it for an easier-to-read representation of your armor.
  • The center of your crosshair now has a dot on it. It's available during bleedout as well, making it easier to actually hit things when getting revived. You can also hide the lines on the crosshair, in case the dot's enough. Or just hide both.
  • Your teammates now have their level displayed next to their name on the HUD.
  • You now hear a heartbeat sound when your armor is broken, because it's easy to miss that and take unneeded health damage.
  • You can turn off the hints, because you don't need to be told anymore that YOU'RE HURT GET TO COVER PRESS R TO RELOAD CONTROL THE CIVILIANS and so on.
  • You can shut Bain up! Do I need to explain why you want this? You want this.
  • And you can skip heist intros, without any of the odd sound issues that other intro-skipping methods use!
And if you don't like any of those features, you can turn them off. There isn't a single thing in WTFBM you can't turn off. Just look in the options menu, or mod options menu if you're using a hook that has that. It's all right there.

Now go, and FIND THAT BANK MANAGER.

Thank you very much for this mod! This is one of the best and most useful for this game that I have ever seen! I'm just glad to be able to use it. In the end, I like this game, much more than the second part. The second part looked like a completely different game. The first part has only minor drawbacks, but it has huge advantages. And although there are not so many robberies, four characters, not so many weapons (which, incidentally, are useful, each, unlike the weapons in the second part of the game), there are several masks (which are not all important, in fact, the only one it's great to add a balaclava like Matt), the game is alive and dragging into your world! I'm sorry that the second part lost this ability, in comparison with the first part. But, again, thanks for this mod! It would be great to add the ability to turn on / off, a polymer lantern on the weapon. It is unfair that it is seen by others, but there is no kind on behalf of the player, even though this function is in the robbery "No Mercy" and works by itself, when the room is switched off and on. Do not you think it's strange? Maybe not even fair? And it would be cool, I wanted lighting, I switched on a polymer lantern, on any robbery, it immediately became lighter and more realistic, while other players see "you have" a flashlight on, but you do not see it from your face. This is very sad very much. It seems like a trifle, but she strains, a little upset.

Okay yeah I see what's happening. I've fixed that, and will upload 1.2.1 soon.

Quote:Help: I installed BLT version of WTFBM hud, but i don't know where to leave the LIB file and when i play the hud shows like: w_shotimerdrill_230 and something like that. How do i fix it?

The installation instructions state to just drop the entirety of the ZIP contents into your PAYDAY: The Heist folder.
But post a screenshot of what your HUD looks like anyway - it's extremely odd that it's loaded, but localization lines aren't loading.

WTFBM has been updated. Every issue I've heard of has been addressed and fixed, and a slew of new things were added. The standouts:
  • You can use this with BLT now.
  • You can shut up Bain.
  • You can ignore hints.
  • You can see enemy health by your crosshair color changing, rather than with an enemy health bar.
  • You can skip the heist intro.
  • And you can now disable everything, such that your PAYDAY experience is completely unchanged. Before, even with everything off, there were a few differences, namely with assault banner placement, health color, peer name colors, and of course the random intro quote. Now you can turn those off too. Wow!
I think it's nice.

The full changelog:

Code:
+ Added BLT support. Bring your own bacon.

+ Added option to show or hide crosshair lines.

+ Added option to enable or disable the PD2 chat colors.

+ Added option to hide the intro quote. Y'know, if you hate fun.

+ Added option to ignore hints. You can ignore just the stupid ones line "PRESS
R TO RELOAD", you can ignore all but the most critical messages, or you can
  ignore them all.

+ Added option to shut up Bain's yapping. Similarly to the ignore-hint option,
you can turn off just nagging, all mission fluff, important mission info, or
  everything except absolutely critical lines.

+ Added option to skip the intro entirely, as long as you're hosting the game.
This differs from DorHUD's implementation, so it should avoid the sound issues
  other clients have.

+ Three new color sets was added - Default++, Cool Blue, and Cool Violet.
The Default++ color scheme adds a yellow range to the default health colors,
and you can guess what Cool Blue and Cool Violet look like.

+ The enemy HP option has been expanded into a health spy option, with four
modes: off, spy by changing crosshair color, spy with the enemy health bars,
or spy with both. The crosshair option is inspired by Serious Sam, and is good
for when you want to get an idea of enemy health without more shit popping up
  on your screen.

+ And on that note, there is now an option to merely zoom in when aiming, rather
than sighting into the weapon. Pistols will zoom in when you use this option,
but only half as much as other weapons.

* The HUD now updates properly while you're in custody or the game ended.
No elements should be bleeding through to the endgame or subsequent loadout
screen anymore, and you should no longer see enemy health bars or reloads
lingering if you went into custody aiming at someone or reloading.

* Smaller resolutions and changing resolution are now handled properly. There'll
be slight oddness in single player until you leave the menu, but after that,
  it will correct itself.

Some HUD items have moved around as a result of this; namely, the enemy health
bar and the reload timer. This was to keep HUD elements from overlapping as
much as possible, although at lower resolutions, some overlap is unavoidable.

The statistics are now in a more consistent spot between resolutions as well.

* The mod now adds a submenu to the options menu when using PD2Hook, instead of
using the old shitty way of numpad keybinds. Laptop users and tenkeyless
  keyboard users, you're welcome.

* Most text lines are now localized - see lib/lua/wtfbm/LANGUAGE.lua.

* The reload timer will now flash red for half a second if you abort a reload.

* The statistics timer no longer counts up in the loadout menu.

* The statistics line is disabled in DorHUD by default now, so as to not overlap
  with DorHUD's statistics module.

* The default HP color set no longer blends, and the default armor color is pure
white now. Yes, people complained about this.

* Chavez no longer has a green health bar. Chavez is your enemy now.

* The enemy health bars now round up.

* The targeting system for the health spying now properly goes through windows.

* The reload timer now accounts for the initial part of shotgun reloads, and
starts off yellow if you're reloading an empty weapon.

* The assault image no longer shifts up even if the assault timer isn't visible.

- The rainbow color set was removed for being ******* disgusting.

* The hot and cold color set has been made less garbage.

Uhm, the BLT hook has been released for PDTH, could you port your HUD mod to it?. Thanks!

I've been looking into payday's native menu system, but I haven't actually been able to implement anything since windows has decided to be the biggest piece of shit of all time and never do anything right

in the meantime, you can just edit WTFBM's settings directly, by editing "wtfbm.ini" in your payday folder. if it's not there, make it - it's just a text file, but with "ini" instead of "txt".

here's a sample wtfbm.ini - edit it as needed. it's not an ideal solution, but until 1.2 it's what you'll have to do

note that WTFBM in dorhud doesn't look at this file, but instead uses dorhud's own setting system

Can you add another key to open menu, my laptop doesn't have a numpad....

03-11-2017, 06:09 PM
there wasn't an update; I was merely uploading the file directly rather than having download links in two places, and also so I can see if the dorhud auto-update thing works properly

there is a tentative 1.2, but there's only one bugfix in it so far (fix the heartbeat when you're in custody), and I'm messing around with other non-payday stuff right now

What was this update?

if anything breaks, shoot either of us a message on steam

(preferably ijon since he wrote the majority of it)

Dorhud compatible? ******* sweet.
