Extract the contents of the file to where you installed Neptunia Re;Birth 3, for example "Steam\SteamApps\common\Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3"
Simply running NeptuniaReBirth3.exe - either by clicking on it directly or just launching the game through Steam normally - with the contents of that folder should start the retranslation. If you see any changes to the game's title, or a new font while playing the game, the retranslation is working.
Keep in mind that if you have other custom files such as textures (clothes, for example) inside the Neptools folder, they will show up in-game.
The mod may conflict with the KitFolder from Kitserver, if that has been used before. As such, KitFolder should be renamed or removed from your Re;Birth 3 folder.
This translation will not impact your standard Re;Birth 3 game at all, as it is applied on top of the default game much like a post-Morrowind Bethesda game mod.
To uninstall the retranslation, delete dinput8.dll along with the “Birth3” and "Neptools" subfolders. Alternatively, you may run the game with the "--disable" parameter, which will turn off all new content. (example usage: "NeptuniaReBirth3.exe --disable" through a shortcut)
There may be some spelling or script errors in the game, even with the mod active. If you find any problems, please report them.
Don't bother using English voices, as they will not sync with the retranslation.

Release 1B: CL3 Patch
- Hotfix for CL3 compatibility released
- Main quest treated
Q: What are you trying to do with this patch/modification?
A: Essentially to get the English script as close to the original Japanese script as is practicably possible, also keeping in mind technical limitations and whatever scripting we have available to us. We'd at the very least, we'd like a Re;Birth1 quality level to these games scripts.
Q: How long did it take you to make this (from start to finish)?
A: Like last time, it took about a month's prep. Actually slightly faster. The actual re-translation work took, on and off, a few months.
A LOT of work went into the development of Neptools, our own Re;Birth modification tool, to nearly completely replace Kitserver (including using it as a means to start the game). It's been in development for at least 5-6 months, and it still is being improved to this day, with support for new content being added all the time. You really ought to try it, it's neat.
Q: How many people worked on this?
A: Everyone who worked on the R;B2 retranslation worked on this one, too. Plus a few other people that dropped in and out based on availability, over time.
Q: Are you trying to remove the humor?
A: No.
Q: Can I still get achievements using this?
A: Yes.
Q: So now that you've all deep dived into both the English and Japanese scripts, was R;B3's translation really that bad?
A: Actually...in general we didn't really think R;B3 deviated too badly from the original script, at least when it comes to the main quest. Obviously there's specific points in the DLC-derived stuff where that is not the case, of course…
While overall R;B3's original translation is inferior to VII and R;B1's translation, but its not half as bad as R;B2's. The worse parts for this game were largely Neptune's lines. Again. But some Japanese culture references and some word puns also got harmed in the process.”
Q: There seems to be some stuff that hasn't been fixed yet?
A: It's always possible that we've missed something. Fortunately, we have no problem maintaining and continuously improving these series of patches. So if you see anything, please point it out to us. Even if we don't respond to your message (or at least, not right away), we will note it down at take a look at it for sure. If there's a significant deviation from what's supposed to be there, in terms of intent and tone, it's definitely something we will work on.
