When the player's mental stat reaches zero and they have a loaded weapon in hand, there is a small random chance each second that despair takes over. Their eyelids close, their gun fires, and the player dies.

This mod doesn't override any scripts and should be compatible with most other mods.
I also use the injuries rework which has the option of disabling the vanilla health drain that normally occurs when your mental stat is at zero.
If you don't use the injuries rework but want to disable insanity health drain I uploaded 2 small mods that can do that this one overrides character.gd and will be incompatible with anything else that touches that. This one just offsets the vanilla health drain by re adding the same value but might behave weirdly with other mods that touch the mental stat.
