This mod is a complete overhaul that aims to fix the biggest issue in the game: bullet sponge enemies. Inspired by tactical shooters like Insurgency: Sandstorm and Ready or Not, this rebalance makes every shot count. Weapons are devastatingly lethal and law enforcement units are no longer tanks that can soak up entire magazines of ammunition.
Core Philosophy
In the base game, especially on higher difficulties, even basic enemies require a frustrating amount of fire to be defeated. Now, the priority is high lethality. A single well placed rifle round or a short burst from a pistol will drop standard hostiles. This changes the gameplay from mag dumping to precision shots, making the combat feel faster and more visceral.
Key Features
Realistic Combat
Weapon damage is tuned so that standard Law Enforcement units and SWAT drop with 1 or 2 shots to the torso.
Tactical Specials Bulldozers
Modeled based on ballistic plate logic. They possess heavy body protection that survives a lot of fire, but a single precise shot to the visor will drop them instantly. Shields: Possess low health once flanked, making them dangerous from the front but vulnerable to tactical movement.
Improved Ballistics
All weapons had ammo pickup, rate of fire, and accuracy adjusted to feel heavy and distinct.
Consistent Crosshairs
Crosshairs were adjusted to accurately reflect the accuracy and spread statistics of each specific weapon.

You must have DAHM/DorHUD installed.
Download the .zip file.
Extract the “mods“ folder directly into your main Payday: The Heist installation directory.
