Inventory Improvements
Changes from vanilla game:
- Quick transfer (CTRL+Click / Context->Transfer) will fill all available stacks. If there is no space to create a stack from the remainder of the item, then it will stay in the original grid.
- Dragging stack to another stack will fill it to max (if possible) and put remainder of the stack back in the original grid.
- Picking up stacks will try to fill your stacks to the max (same logic as quick transfer).
- "Take" context action will by default place that stack inside of the player's inventory. If there is no space for it, then it will be put in the open container. If there is no room there either, then error sound will play and notification about lacking inventory space will appear.
- "Split" context action has similar changes to "Take", but by default new stack will appear in the same grid as the original stack.
- Stacks that are part of the player's equipment will be automatically filled when moving items to the player's inventory (as a priority), including picking stuff from the ground.
- Currently the only applicable equipment are Matches.
- "Take" and "Split" used on equipped stacks will not drop those items, and instead try to place them in a grid (inventory or container)
- New context action "Load" - will load an item with ammunition. If container is open, then it will try to use stacks from there first, starting from the smallest.
- New context action "Topup" - will try to fill a stack up to whatever is set as its maximum stack amount. If container is open, then it will try to use stacks from there first, starting from the smallest.
- Tooltip will now show subtype of items that have one. For example: "Attachment (Optic)"
- Items that combine in some way with item that your mouse pointer is hovering will now be highlighted:
- Yellow: It will swap with an existing attachment of the same subtype. For ammo/mags it means that the mag is full.
- Blue: Just a special highlight for ammunition, when you hover over a weapon that uses external magazine
- Green: There is either room for attachment of that type or for ammo
- You can load Mosin and Shotgun in the inventory (not equipped). It could use some extra polishing, but I think I won't do it.
I also had a fix for unloading of mags, but I think it works fine in Vanilla now.
Known issues:
- When you quick transfer a full stack from one grid to another, it will fill any existing stack(s) and after that make a new one from remainder of original stack, instead of just placing itself in the new grid.
Things I might add someday:
- "Take all" button
- "Store all" button
- "Lock slot" thingy, so that anything in it is ignored by the "Take all" and "Store all" buttons
- Double click some items for expanded information panel (like for example gun recoil, accuracy and such)
- "Attaches to" list in the tooltip of things that attach to something
- "Take" action, but you specify custom amount (slider and/or numerical input)
- Some sort of short highlight for slots/items that have been changed recently, like for example a stack that got filled would have a border that around it that makes it look special for 3 seconds
- Those icons for ammo loading, battery charging and attachments, made visible when highlighting compatible items (only for those you can drag it to and have it work that way)
Things I probably won't do:
- Autosort (typical grids are too small)
