Land Help Damping has now been reverted to Pre-WR values and changed accordingly for the alt versions!
Behold: The first (public) handling/physics mod for The Crew!
Whatâs fixed:
⢠Jump Physics/Jump Help. The strong magnetism of Wild Runâs JumpHelp has been reverted to the original gameâs, meaning the pitch, yaw, and roll of your car while midair has more freedom than before. Flips, rolls, itâs got it all. There are also two alternate versions of the mod, with one halving jump help and the other completely removing it! If you are experienced and would like an extra challenge, choose one of the alt options in the Downloads tab.
⢠Collision physics have been improved! Launch glitches are a thing of the past. Your car interacts with objects better, as the rotational velocity is no longer frozen like it was in WR.
⢠Traffic vehicles now feel like they have actual weight to them. Head on collisions feel proper and impactful.
⢠The absurdly high center of gravity that most of the cars possess. Cars no longer flip in cutscenes, and erratic behavior in gameplay (like flipping from hitting a curb or scraping a guardrail) will no longer occur.
⢠The Street Spec Challenger had some kind of weird countersteering lock, that has now been taken care of.
⢠The cameras had some weird parameter added to account for the stunt vehicles, however they decided to add this parameter to every other vehicle too. It's now been removed from the regular vehicles.
⢠The "Land Help Damper" has been reverted to match Pre-WR values. Off Roading now requires some throttle control.
What isnât fixed:
⢠The extra ghost track width vehicles have
Sadly, no one knows what parameter causes this, so it's still here. However, basically every other handling oddity has been fixed, allowing for more fun and engaging gameplay as the car no longer acts like a magnet on jumps or uneven surfaces, flips in cutscenes, or launches into the air due to hitting a fence or something of the sort.
Shoutout to whammy for massively helping out with the parameters!
