• Loot rarity is determined per-item rather than per-container.
• Certain containers have a higher chance to spawn rare loot.
• Food is more likely to be found in fridges, freezers, and stoves.
• Fewer containers will spawn with nothing but empty cans.
• Medical containers are more likely to contain medical items.
• You can loot healing items from hostile NPCs.
• 7.62x54R can spawn in Village containers and on bandits.
• Weapons in containers have a chance to include magazines and/or ammo.

The end result is a vanilla-like experience that feels much more rational when it comes to finding specific types of loot.
