The Live-Action Gang Is Here
Do you remember this concept art? I was so hyped upon seeing it, finally after so many years, they are giving us the live-action shaped masks in PAYDAY 3! Well, that did NOT happen, they went after the PD2 style instead, and I was left disappointed about the masks. I don't want to knock the artists that worked on these masks, they did great, I just think they needed better direction towards the live-action style of the masks.
Luckily, I have the experience, means, some patience and passion, to do it myself, so I've put on my Thanos Gauntlet and here we are.
Some quick and simple vanilla model modifications gave decent enough results, I've modified the textures as well, only a tiny bit here and there. They're not perfect and I do not claim they are, I did my best to stick to the live-action shape of the masks, mainly focusing on PAYDAY: The Heist Artworks. I was too baked to dance with all the materials and I ain't got the time for it. I am satisfied enough with what I managed to do with these.
The customization of the blank masks sometimes works, sometimes it doesn't, you'll have to try it for yourself and see. Look at the preview images.
There also may be some lighting issues in certain areas, though I have noticed it with vanilla masks as well, the lighting is just... it's something alright, I don't know what the hell they were smoking at Starbreeze.
NOTICE: All masks are split into individual .PAK files, so that you can download what you like, without me forcing all masks onto you.
Houston's mask is in the works as well, I just need a short break, hope it's understandable.
Suits mod:
PAYDAY: The Heist Outfits - PAYDAY 3, brilliant mod by @columbus
INSTALLATION: Place the downloaded .PAK file right here - \PAYDAY3\PAYDAY3\Content\Paks\ ~mods
⚠️Hoxton: "It's not working lass."⚠️
If the .PAK mod is not working, make sure you have added the -fileopenlog launch argument to PAYDAY 3. For example, on Steam you can add that argument by right-clicking on PAYDAY 3, then Properties and lastly, General -> You should see the "Launch Options" box there, that's where -fileopenlog launch argument goes.
If it's still not working, make sure you don't have any conflicting mods.
Extra tip: If your game renders some textures properly while other ones look like garbage, add -dx11 to your launch options, see how that works, and if your game is gasping for FPS, try this mod out.
