Description

The Infinite Railway is a gauntlet of infinite battles and encounters created by the Mer-Line to test your limits. Recommended minimum entry level 75.

Features

• Randomly generated Ranger Battles with increasing levels and difficulty
• Archangel Boss Battles
• Time Trial Rooms
• Secret Encounters
• Can repeat the encounter endlessly
• Receive Fusion Material rewards based on collected railway shards
• Custom battle music options (inside the dungeon area only)

Rounds

Rounds are played in 5 Ranger battles + 1 Archangel battle.
Between rounds you will move into a break area where you can do the following:

• Buy supplies
• Check statistics
• Start the next round
• End your run

Talk to Amber for your run options and the Merchant for supplies.

Difficulty Updates

• Every 3 rounds will change the ranger battles in some way. (Up to 4 times)
• Every 3 rounds Archangels will change their battle setup as well

Trial Chambers

• Appear semi-infrequently between battle rooms.
• Focus on specific abilities and serve as an alternative way of progressing the battle room count.
• Failing a trial chamber has no impact on the current run, you will resume from a regular battle room as normal.
• Completing a trial chamber will serve to progress your room count, putting you one room closer to the boss without need for risking further injuries in battle.
• Rewards for completing Trial Chambers scale based on number of rounds completed of the dungeon as well as how fast you complete the chamber.

Dungeon Customization

A wooden plaque located at the dungeon entrance and in Amber's lodge will allow you to change a couple settings for the dungeon.
Currently this is limited to setting overspill damage and trial chamber appearance.

Location

You can find the secret entrance to this new dungeon on the Harbourtown Beach near daily item (To the right of where the game begins)

Custom Playlist Instructions:

1. Create a folder named music in the same directory the mods folder is located.
   • C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\CassetteBeasts\music\ on Windows
   • ~/.local/share/CassetteBeasts/music/ on Linux.
2. Add your mp3 files to that music folder
3. Whenever you open the music selection list, in game, you'll see your custom tracks displayed at the bottom of the list.

FAQ

• Is there an option to customize battles?
  • Not at the moment
• What happens if I uninstall the mod while inside the new area?
  • The game will load you into the Gramophone Cafe, nothing will be lost except for custom items that are specific to the mod (e.g: Railway Shards and the Vending machine permit).
• How do I leave the new area?
  • Amber will have an option to end your run and send you back to the entrance. If you are still in the battle rooms, the only way out is to keep moving forward until you reach Amber or lose a fight.
• Can I use other audio formats besides mp3 for custom battle music?
  • No, at the moment the mod will only accept mp3 files
• What happens if I use the wrong file type for my battle music?
  • The song wont play and you'll see a lot of angry messages about it in your log file. The game itself won't crash.
• What happens if I remove one of my mp3 files from the music folder after saving it as the track to be played?
  • The game will default to the vanilla region setting track the next time it tries to load the song.
• How do I set the battle music back to normal?
  • Open the music selection screen and select the Default option at the top. This change the music back to whatever the default for the region is.
• Will there be multiplayer?
  • Maybe. We'll see how it goes when the official multiplayer update drops.

Tags save file: No - Safe to remove
Tags netplay: Yes - If one party uses the mod, all participants should use as well. (Can safely remove mod if not intending to use during multiplayer)
