For some reason, so many of The Robot's interactions with HP items surmounts to just... gaining barely enough casings to buy a blank on the first floor, which is somehow supposed to make you feel better about getting an item out of a chest that is nearly completely useless.
This mod doesn't entirely overhaul HP items for the Robot, HOWEVER, all HP Up items will now give the Robot a piece of armour, similarly to how Master Rounds function.
Item Changes
The following items now give the Robot armour:
- Magic Sweet
- Pink Guon Stone
- Ring of Miserly Protection (see further below for additional effects)
- Monster Blood
- Heart Holster
- Heart Lunchbox
- Heart Locket
- Heart Bottle
- Heart Purse
- Heart of Ice
- Gun Soul
- Riddle of Lead
- Yellow Chamber (gives 2 armour pieces instead of 1)
- Super Meat Gun
The Ring of Miserly Protection has been made to work with Armour the same way it affects normal character's hearts. Collecting it grants 2 armour, but spending money or dropping it will remove 2 armour. If the player is only has 2 armour left, only 1 is taken upon drop/purchase, and if the player only has 1 armour left, dropping/purchasing has no penalty.
Shrine Changes
Peace Shrine
Sacrificing a gun to the Peace Shrine as the Robot now gives 1 armour.
Chance Shrine
If the player randomly rolls the 'Renewed' or 'Bolstered' effect, they are given 1-2 armour. (Whereas in vanilla those effects do nothing for the Robot).
