This is my very own series of Custom Rooms for Enter the Gungeon! I have spent many a long hour creating and testing a series of combat rooms for the Game, intended to spice up runs for those of you who've played the game a thousand times and are quite familiar with everything.
Contents
This mod adds...
54 new rooms in the Keep of the Lead Lord
30 new rooms in the Oubliette
49 new rooms in the Gungeon Proper
17 new rooms in the Abbey of the True Gun
26 new rooms in the Black Powder Mine
17 new rooms in the Hollow
26 new rooms in the Forge
49 new rooms in Bullet Hell
3 new 'Multifloor' rooms that can appear in multiple Chambers.
39 new Secret Rooms
3 new Merchant NPC room layouts (for alternate merchants and stuff)
and
27 new Chest Rooms
If the mod is installed correctly, the game will pick from these rooms when generating a floor, and make the game feel a lot different for someone who's played it a lot.
How to Install
- Firstly, you'll need to have Mod the Gungeon installed (obviously).
- You'll also need the Gungeon API mod from KyleTheScientist's Custom Rooms page. This mod is what loads the rooms, so download it.
- Install Gungeon API by placing it into your Mods folder in the Enter the Gungeon directory. Remember to delete the mods.txt file that's in there, otherwise the game won't load this new addition.
- Run Enter the Gungeon once. This will create a file in your Gungeon directory named CustomRoomData. Alternatively, you could make this file manually, but it's safer to let the computer do the work.
- Download this mod.
- Unzip the file, and take all of the .room files inside.
- Place all of the .room files directly into the CustomRoomData folder.
- Badda bing, badda boom, you're done.
Some Simple Answers
Will you update this?
Yes. I will continue to add more rooms to this mod, edit rooms in response to feedback, and tweak rooms as the room editor gains more different capabilities.
Why don't your rooms have <thing> in them?
The editor probably didn't support it when the room was made. When it does, I'll add <thing> where I see fit.
How did you make these?
I used KyletheScientist's Custom Room editor. Check it out if you want to make your own!
Finally, of note
Certain mods may mess with enemy spawning. ExpandTheGungeon for example swaps out enemies in the Oubliette and the Abbey. This affects my room pack as well. I take no responsibility for any weirdness resulting from ExpandTheGungeon turning my Bullet Kin hoards into sausages or something.
(The mods still work together though)
