ABOUT-
You know the painting in the room with the fireplace that shows a picture of the Gunslinger much older and wearing what the Lich wares today? Well I decided that I would make it into it's own character! The Curse Slinger is the Gunslinger right before be fully became the Lich (as the painting depicts). The Curse Slinger is a custom character that is based all around gaining curse, the more curse you get, the more "coolness" you get and your overall damage goes up along your overall resistance to the jammed.
LORE-
[As I said before the Curse Slinger is the Gunslinger, just from another time, a time were he was about to become fully converted to the evil gunsling-ing skeleton we all know and love.] Throughout the lore of Enter the Gungeon we know that the Gunslinger worked with the shopkeeper's father, these two studied magic and whatnot until the Gunslinger had become the ultamate master of gun play and magic in the entire Dungeon. This enraged Kaliber, a Bulletkin Gun Goddess (and also what the final statue in the Kill Pillars depict in their final form) and she fired a magical round into the dungeon, both destroying it, however her followers soon rebuilt it into what we now know as the Gungeon. In the process of the Dungeon's fall, the magical round both killed the shopkeeper's father but gave the Gunslinger immortality... at a price, a curse, being permanently bound to the Gungeon. Fast forward so many years and the Gunslinger has become twisted and cynical in his ways, adopting demonic spells and even a whole new outfit, the same outfit the Lich wares... [This is the part were my own take on the lore comes in] - Seeking more power, the Old Gunslinger (aka the Curse Slinger) fights his way to bullet hell, only to find the Lich. This strikes the Gunslinger and he soon realizes he is in a loop, seeking power; killing all the Gungeon folk who stand in his way, just to get the power he seeks and stand in his own way. The gunslinger becomes his own enemy... The fight carries out between our Old Gunslinger and his ,Undead, soon to be future self. The Lich is victorious, which breaks the loop. Now re-awakening in the breach through an error in the time loop, the Old Gunslinger was given a second change, still self aware and retaining all his memories from his past loop, he now knows what he must do... kill his own past and sacrifice himself so that he has no future, no past, and the Lich and the entire time loop is no more.
INSTALLATION-
So to use this character you are going to have already installed Kyle's Custom Character Mod. Next you will need to download my character file (Custom Character Curse Slinger) and Extract everything that's in it into your CustomCharacterData folder found at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Enter the Gungeon\CustomCharacterData". After you've done those steps you should boot up Mod the Gungeon and once you load into the character selection area pick an already existing character, make sure to move away from were they were standing when you chose them and press F2, type "character curse_slinger" and if everything worked the way it should, you should now be able to use the Curse Slinger like any other Gungeoneer.
