Meet The Mistake, the worst character currently playable. This boy is designed to make you hate everything you have ever loved, and be the ultimate totally fair* challenge for Enter the Gungeon.
The AMAZING Features!
- Slow Movement Speed: Have fun dodging!
- 3 Starting Curse: Just think of the Jammed enemies as more money, you'll be fine.
- Slow Projectiles: Tonic would be disappointed.
- Reduced Damage: Because of course.
- Smaller Ammo Clips: I hope you find reloading therapeutic.
- Smaller Bullets: The Bullets are almost the right size for once! Yay realism!
- Armour Only Health: Because everybody loves that mechanic.
- Your Bullets Suck!: Literally! They pull enemies towards you upon contact because I set knockback to a negative value. Stay vigilant.
- Infinite Ammo Klobbe: Best Gun.
- Derringer: Because of the reduced clip size, the Derringer only gets one shot per clip.
- Junk: I actually think this might give a DMG up, since The Mistake is built off the Robot. Oh well.
- Glass Guon Stone: Don't worry about it, you'll lose it soon enough.
How to Install/Play:
- You'll need to install Kyle's custom character mod first. There's a guide to mod installation on it's page.
- After installing, run the game once. This should create a folder in the Gungeon directory called 'CustomCharacterData'.
- Download and unzip the file for The Mistake.
From me. - Put the file 'Mistake' into CustomCharacterData.
- Once in game, enter the console and use the command: character Mistake to switch into your new best friend!
- Raise the dead. Not necessary, but recommended.
Lore:
The Mistake came to the Gungeon in order to go back to the past and prevent his own creation. He still smiles to hide the pain.
He doesn't actually have a unique past though, since that's way more work than just making a character, so I guess this poor boy is just out of luck.
Spritework:
The sprites for this mod were made over a painstaking and laborious 15 minutes. His face tends to wander all over his body, because I drew it on with no regard for animations, what frames came before, and what frames came after.
Let's just say it adds to his charm.
I hope that you enjoy this boy as much as I, and that you don't destroy too much furniture during your runs. This was made as a little test, but I became attached to his crooked smile and wanted to release him.
Huge thanks to Kyle, the Madman, for making this possible.
