NOTE: Due to many requests I decided to post this here. Since I'd rather have everything in one place and there's too much info for a comments section, I made a Steam group for the mod.
The mod, called DAHM or DorHUD (whatever you like), is basically a collection of modifications to (in my eyes) improve the game. The core is comparable to BLT, but has a bunch of extra features and is now (almost) fully compatible with BLT since version 1.6. The mod is a framework that provides a way to add sub-modules, so that the whole thing is very customizable. The basic version comes bundled with a bunch of default submods to provide the most requested features without being intrusive or gameplay altering (for the most part).
The game is no longer officially supported and I therefore I assume that the executable will not be updated. If this is the case, then the mod has to be updated. But for now it fixes a few bugs, some well known and other not so much. I tried to patch the game crashing bugs, but I'm pretty sure I didn't get them all. A more known bug is that the Vyse masks (and others) disappear from time to time. This is because the Steam community group page is fetched and then checked for the presence of your Steam ID. This is not very reliable, so I replaced it with a call to your local Steam client to the groups you're in. Another thing is that the mute state is now preserved between games, so you don't have to mute people on every single map. And you can open the menu when someone is loading, etc., etc., etc. Just don't expect all solutions to be very elegant ;).
The majority of the sub-modules involve anticheat stuff and profile checking, simply because there are so many cheaters in this game that think they can do that without any consequences. Those that still want to ruin my games can only do it once with that account before they (manually) get added to a banlist. For now the list is only local, so nothing is shared (unless you count the manual sharing of it). Furthermore, there is a very simplistic HUD addon to keep track of the game time and the kills you've made, there's a new difficulty, you can add your own matchmaking filters and there's the possibility to ban players both by keeping a local file and by blocking them on Steam (the latter requires the provided hook).
Since I don't want to type things twice, more specific information can be found on the Steam group page. That's also where I try to provide support and where updates will be posted, so that everything is kept in one place.
Not all mods are posted to this website. Some smaller mods are posted in the DAHM Downloads forum.
