Submission of a custom music track
#1
Hello

I just published a mod that consist of a custom music track add-on titled "Remorse (Carpenter Brut Remix)" from the videogame Hotline Miami 2. I got a message saying that it was suspended and that, apparently, it needs approval. I don't think there's nothing wrong with the categories, nor it doesn't break any of the rules I have read, so I kindly request for a mod to approve it.

You can check it out following this link: https://modworkshop.net/mod/32636

Thank you in advance.

We have specific music rules: https://modworkshop.net/rules#music-rules
And as said on the suspension message, music mod must be submitted to the correct category (Audio > Music > etc) so it can goes through approval process.

HM2 music specifically usually falls to Not Allowed criteria, since almost all the music in the game isn's originally made for the game. It's made and released as standalone song by the artist, and then HM incorporate it.

I see, what a shame. I gues I will have to delete the mod then. By the way, would be the original hotline miami soundtrack fall under the not allowed criteria?

If you find any Hotline Miami (1 or 2) song that are specifically made for the game, we can approve it so the mod goes public.
That means the song have never been released before to the public before the game is.
Afaik, HM doesnt have any song of that kind.

If you do manage to find one, list your reasoning and proof on the music modpage so we have easier time to verify a music mod.
